Registration Dates for Next School Year:

  • Pre-k programs for 4 yr olds and 3 year olds  require an application and lottery process before registering.
  • Kindergarten registrations accepted after May 12, 2024
  • High School registrations accepted after April 8, 2024
  • Grades 1-8 registrations accepted after June 24, 2024

In this portal, you can complete necessary forms and upload required documentation to complete the registration process.  Please refer to the district website for any questions on this process:  https://www.albanyschools.org/registration/index

Required registration documentation may be submitted by one of three methods:

  • Upload documents in any electronic format including photographs in the online registration portal
  • OR email electronic documents to centralreg@albany.k12.ny.us.  Please enter your child's name in the subject line.
  • OR mail copies to:

If you prefer a paper application or need assistance, please call 518-475-6125.  Please note that the Central Registration Office is open for in-person service through appointment only.     

As part of the online registration, you will be assigned a reference ID number (session key) and asked to create a password.  Please record your ID number and password for future reference. You will contacted when your registration has been accepted or if any additional information is needed.

Required Forms

As you complete this process, you must complete the forms marked "Required" for your regsitration to be processed (Housing questionairre, Additional Registration Info, Home Language questionaire, and Health History).  The Home Language questionaire is available in many different languages at the bottom of the page.  Additional forms may be required dependent upon the student's grade level.  PreK, Kindergarten, or High school level students must have the corresponding form completed. 

If all required forms are not completed or there is missing documentation, your registration will not be processed.
